Do I need to know programming to learn DevOps?

You need to be comfortable reading code and writing basic scripts. The course starts with Linux and Bash scripting from basics. Prior development experience accelerates learning, but it is not a blocker for someone committed to learning the DevOps toolchain.

Is Kubernetes really necessary or can I just learn Docker?

Docker is foundational. Kubernetes is what runs Docker at scale in production. Every serious production application uses Kubernetes (or a managed equivalent). If you only know Docker, you can containerise applications but cannot manage them at production scale. This course teaches both — because both are necessary.

What certifications does this course prepare for?
